ARTICLE 4 USE OF COOKIES

  1. eConnect uses cookies and other related technologies (for convenience, all technologies are referred to as ‘cookies’) to help personalise your online experience. A cookie is a small text file that is automatically stored on your hard drive by the webpage server. Cookies cannot be used to run a program or to place viruses on the computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you and can only be read by a web server in the domain that assigned the cookie.
  2. One of the primary purposes of cookies is to provide you with a tool to save time. The purpose of a cookie is to notify the web server that you have returned to a specific page. For example, if you individualise the eConnect pages or if you register on an eConnect site or service, the cookie helps to remember certain information about you for future visits. This simplifies the process of storing your personal information or delivery address etc. When you return to the same eConnect page, the information you previously provided is retrieved so that you can easily use the features you customised.
  3. You have the option of accepting or rejecting cookies. When you visit our website for the first time, we will show a pop-up with an explanation about cookies. When you click on “All cookies”, you give us permission to use all cookies and plugins as described in this statement. You can deactivate the use of cookies via your browser; however, you should bear in mind that our website may not function optimally.
