Open only the signing link from the email. Review the proposal, sign it or hand it to an authorised colleague, and read what each screen means.
In short: you open only the signing link from the email. You review the proposal, sign it, or let an authorised colleague sign. Do not send anyone a URL you made yourself.
This is not a free start page. The production page is at https://econnect.eu/start/sign. You test a new version at https://accp.econnect.eu/start/sign. Only the link from the email counts.
This is not the flow to become a customer, start Peppol, or sign a mandate. It is also not the direct debit flow. Those use separate links.
The language follows the browser, or ?locale= when that is in the link. Exception: the heading Jouw handtekening staat erop stays Dutch, even when the rest of the page is in another language. There is no progress bar.
The heading is the subject of the agreement. Without a subject it reads Proposal for cooperation.
Then comes the text of the agreement, the sentence that you can view the agreement online and sign it digitally, and the sentence that after signing you receive the signed version with all annexes by email. The button is Sign document. Below it are the contact at eConnect and the reference. If the contact is missing, it reads unknown.
On the same screen you can let a colleague sign. After the button you briefly see The signing is being prepared. Then the signing page opens. When you return, you see a handover if the other party still has to sign, or a closing screen if the document is complete.
The handover screen shows vertical steps: who already signed, whether the invitation has been sent, and who still has to sign.
Choose Sign document. You briefly see the preparation screen. Then the signing page opens.
Choose an authorised colleague in the list and click Send invitation. The list shows only authorised colleagues, plus Invite a new colleague.
Enter salutation, first name, last name, language and email. An eConnect staff address is rejected.
After a sent invitation the heading is Signing handed over. Your own request is withdrawn. The colleague receives a new request. Reopen signing withdraws that new request and sends you to the signing page yourself.
If the colleague has already signed, you can no longer reopen. The page says the colleague has already signed. If reopening fails, contact eConnect.
If the proposal was forwarded, the first sentence names the colleague who forwarded it. If an open task overview already exists for this agreement, Signing handed over also shows Go straight to task overview.
If it reads The signer was changed, but the email was not sent, the colleague is set and the invitation was not sent. Contact eConnect.
Signing handed over means a colleague received a new request. Jouw handtekening staat erop and Thank you for your signature mean the other party still has to sign.
Try signing page again leaves the request in place. Sign again withdraws the request. If that succeeds, it reads New signing ready and the new signing page opens.
This page does not state a validity period or a reminder interval for the signing link.
