Record a contact person

Use the invitation link to record who you are, which organisation you belong to, which messages you want and which colleagues may become a contact.

In short: you only open the link from the invitation email. The form records who you are, which organisation you belong to, which messages you want, and which colleagues may also become a contact person. Organisation is required. Colleagues may be left empty.

This form is not a free start page. An expired or invalid link does not open the form. Do not send anyone a URL you made yourself. Only the link from the invitation counts.

The paths /start/contact and /start/contact-verify open the same form. /start/org-register belongs to a new version and is only available for testing at https://accp.econnect.eu/start/contact. Do not send https://econnect.eu/start/org-register as a production URL.

This is not the flow to become a customer, and not the flow to sign up only for updates. Those run through separate invitations or links. Changing other communication without an invitation link goes through support.

The language already on the invitation wins over the browser and over ?locale=. The language you choose on Profile then applies to the rest of the form.

Five steps

The bar shows five steps. Profile comes before the organisation.

Step 1: Email

This step establishes who you are. After that there is a session. A button in the invitation skips this step: the session is already open and you land on Profile. Until then the bar stays on Email.

If you want to change the address, go back to the address. The invitation then no longer counts as proof. You must confirm the new address again. The heading on that screen is Update contact details.

If the invitation comes from a colleague, the text says that colleague proposed you. You then fill in your own details.

Step 2: Profile

The heading is Name details. The button is Next. Known details are already in the fields. The email address is fixed, because it has already been verified. You do not change it here.

Required are language, salutation, first name and last name. If a required field is missing, you stay on this page.

  • Language: Nederlands, English, Français, Deutsch, Español.
  • Salutation: Mr or Ms.
  • May be empty: title before, initials, infix, title after, phone, job title.

The text above the fields depends on the situation:

  • Ordinary invitation: "We appreciate being able to address you in the right way."
  • Already registered: "You are registered with us as a contact person."
  • Proposed by a colleague: that colleague proposed you. You fill in your own details and decide yourself what you share.

Under Profile is the button Unsubscribe or delete details. The bar stays on Profile until you make a choice.

  • Keep receiving emails: you go back to the profile. The bar stays on Profile.
  • No more emails: the form ends on the thank-you page.
  • Delete details: that is a deletion request, with the same thank-you page.

After unsubscribing or a deletion request, the bar jumps to Colleagues, on the thank-you page. This is form behaviour. Do not infer a CRM effect from it.

Step 3: Organisations

Organisation is required, after the profile, via the register. The bar stays on Organisations during country, number or name, the confirmation and the retrieval.

  • If the organisation is already linked to the session, the page shows Preferences, not the register.
  • Not yet linked: choose country, number or name, then the confirmation.
  • If the link is rejected, the register follows anyway.
  • Yes on the confirmation: continue to Preferences. Yes is required to continue.
  • No: the bar stays on Organisations. You choose again.

Which registers, email domains and VAT checks apply is not in this instruction.

Step 4: Preferences

The heading is Preferences. The text is: "With your details we ensure smooth cooperation. Let us know which information you want to receive." The button is Next. Colleagues follow after that.

Without an employee address you see three checkboxes:

  • General: "Yes, send me News"
  • Technical: "Yes, send me technical updates"
  • Incidents: "Yes, keep me informed in case of incidents"

With an employee address you see no checkboxes, only the text and Next.

If you are not yet an active customer, the question "How did you hear about us?" is required. Empty blocks Next. Choices: via WeConnect; from ChatGPT; via Google, or another search engine; via social media; at a trade fair or meeting; via partner; via colleague; other. For an active customer, or if the source is already known, that question is dropped.

After Next, without an employee address:

  • Organisation confirmed: continue to Colleagues.
  • Confirmation missing: back to Organisations.

This is not free self-service for all communication types.

Step 5: Colleagues

The heading is Other contact persons. Skipping is allowed. Per person you fill in an email address and a name, up to ten people. Buttons: Add contact person, Remove, Next. They receive an invitation to fill in their own details.

  • Filling in nothing is allowed. Next opens the thank-you page.
  • A valid email address: that colleague receives an invitation. A name may stay empty.
  • Your own address does not count as a colleague and does not receive an invitation.
  • A name without an address, or an invalid address: the page stays. Text: "Enter a valid email address for each contact person, or remove the contact person."
Thank-you page

Success: the heading is Thank you. The button is "Send me a copy of my answers". After 5 seconds you go to the home page. There is also a button To home. The bar stays on Colleagues.

Can I open the form myself without an invitation?

No. You do not navigate freely to this form. Only the link from the invitation email opens it. An expired or invalid link does not open the form. Do not send a URL you made yourself.

Do I have to choose an organisation?

Yes. Organisation is required, after the profile. Yes on the confirmation is required to continue. No keeps you on Organisations, so you choose again. Colleagues may be empty.

What if I no longer want emails, or want my details deleted?

That choice is under Profile, via Unsubscribe or delete details. No more emails ends on the thank-you page. Deleting details is a deletion request, with the same thank-you page. Keep receiving emails takes you back to the profile.

Is this the same as signing up for updates or becoming a customer?

No. This form records a contact person via an invitation. Becoming a customer and only receiving updates are other flows. Without an invitation link you change other communication via support.
